Leanne Carey has always been passionate about the Art of Makeover. She developed her love of great style and makeup working in the theatre, fashion and television industries for over 15 years. She loved every minute of her time spent learning about fashion and colour as she honed her skills as a makeup artist and wardrobe assistant. The little girl in her has always had so much fun playing at dress ups.

In 2008 she branched out with IMAGE GURU, an image consultancy, designed to assist individual men and women to find the personal look that will give them the most style and confidence. She is fast becoming ones of Sydney's most sought after fashion stylists and makeup artists, working in advertising, editorial, film and television production, red carpet, music and wedding events.

Whether it's personal shopping, wardrobe audits, colour analysis, or makeup consultancies or lessons, Leanne works with individual clients to create a really great look - without dieting or spending a fortune.

Makeup Artist and Fashion Stylist Experience

Leanne has worked with a range of celebrities including stars such as Liza Minnelli whom she dressed on Liza’s 2009 Australian tour. She has worked in the wardrobe and makeup departments for many popular musicals such as Jersey Boy's, Wicked, Boy from Oz, working with Hugh Jackman, Todd McKinney, Chrissie Amphlett and the all-star casts of Guys and Dolls, Priscilla and the Lion King.

She also designed the makeup for the City Chic show at Rosemount Fashion Festival 2009, and worked with Australian band Silverchair on their film clip If You Keep Losing Sleep.


Leanne's passion drew her to study at the Australian Image Company, gaining a certificate in Style and Colour. She is also an accredited member of the association of Image Consultants International (AICI)

In 2011 Leanne teamed up with Centro Roselands as their head fashion stylist in the "Fabulous Finds" winter campaign that has been nominated for the 2011 Shopping Centre Awards. Leanne has also headed the styling for the upcoming Roselands Style Magazine that saw her create a makeover show and fashion parade. Working in conjunction with Roselands Retailers and the Marketing Department Leanne demonstrated her ability to transform the ordinary to the extraordinary.
